Christmas

Christmas is coming. Time for joy and giving. My mom, sister, and I watched a commercial for BC Clark's Anniversary Sale. I want to know what everyone wants, so for a comment, please tell me one thing you want for Christmas?

Surprise, Surprise!

I haven't taken off these swim trunks since the swim party on the last day of school, last Wednesday.

YAY Inauguration!

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. In Martin's Big Words it says that Martin Luther King, Jr. studied Ghandi and Ghandi visited him once when he was preaching. Ghandi's last words were, "Rama, rama, rama." That means, "I forgive you, I love you, I bless you."

Tomorrow is the 100th day of school. We get to watch the inauguration. My class hopes we get good seats.

Fun with Peeps

My mom got out our Christmas stuff and found our Santa mugs. We were drinking hot chocolate after a long day. It was great.

But it was even better with Peeps! These snowmen had a great time chillin' in the hot tub!

Tiny, the Owl

Actually, it's a screech owl to be exact. But that's not the point.

The point is that now Tiny is living in Borton Environmental Learning Laboratory. She was injured, but I do not know how. We didn't name her, but she's tiny so I call her "Tiny." She flew on this tree and you can see her circled. Then she flew away, which is probably just flying from tree to tree looking for a place that doesn't have too much people because she's wild.

Yard Sale

Last weekend we had a yard sale. I sold Kool-Aid and played my guitar. I made about $4.75 after giving the Weiser girls and my sister their share of the profits. I plan to use the money for LEGO Club Magazine. Even though my friend George, who gets the magazine says it's free for joining the LEGO Club, I'm getting the money just to be sure. My mom says for my hard work, she and my dad would get it for me as soon as we talk it over.

Making Money

I'm trying to figure out how to get $45 in a week and keep on making $5 a week for two months. I plan to spend the initial money on a subscription to LEGO Magazine. The rest of the money is for future savings. Please comment here with your ideas of how it's possible. My deadline is August 31, 2008.

Grassy Death

I took a walk last week and found myself laying in a patch of comfy grass. It made me think that I want a grave prepared for me with a layer of grass at the bottom. That way, I can be comfy when I'm dead.

LEGOS Turn 50!

I joined the LEGO club recently. This blog is dedicated to LEGOs because this month LEGOs are turning 50. Please notice my poll to the right.

Do you remember my determination blog? This Christmas I got three LEGO sets. I finished two of them on New Years Eve and the last two days later. Here are the photos of all of them closed and then all of them opened.

I hope my next blog will be of me playing my guitar. Even though I started it before I did this one, it's hard to make. See you at the next blog!

Tooth Fairy Visits This Rock Squirrel

I lost my first tooth on Monday night. I got a golden coin and a pack of 9 dinosaur 3D puzzles. The Tooth Fairy told me what she does with the teeth. She grinds the good teeth into fairy dust and she recycles the bad.

My favorite desert animal is the rock squirrel because I'm studying it in my classroom. It's predators are roadrunners, coyotes, snakes, badgers, and hawks. Thank you for participating in my poll.

That's all, folks!

Things I Can Do

I think I can do anything that is a challenge, I just have to believe in myself. I try doing it, then I figure out that I can. That's determination.

For example, there is a LEGO set that I wanted for people 16 years old and older that is 2,056 pieces. I'm hoping that I'll get it for Christmas because I think it's really neat. There's a few other LEGO sets I want for Christmas, but I'm not really going to mention this or else it will be like 10 blogs.

For another example, my mom once made me play a song on my guitar that I hadn't gotten to in the lesson book but then I found out I could play it. This is how I did it:

1) I read the notes out loud.
2) Then I played it. It sounded good.

With determination I know I might at least get one LEGO set. Even if it's hard, I'm going to keep on doing it.

The Poll Results Are In

Since most people chose guitar, I decided to do a guitar vlog. I played Caribbean Breeze at a fast beat.

My New Guinea

It takes a long time to catch our guinea because it is wild. I'm positive it's a boy, but my mom and sister aren't convinced. It makes the sound a boy guinea makes. We are going to get straw for it tonight for it's roost. We got it for my mom to eat lots and lots of black widow spiders. Fowls need protein and bugs have a lot of it.

Welcome Blog Buddies

My name is Parrish and I am 7 years old. I like dinosaurs and so that's the subject of this post. This picture was taken in Seattle of me in a Duckbill dinosaur's footprint.

If you think that's my favorite dinosaur, you'd be wrong. I like all the dinosaurs.
